Rev. Phillip S. Leo has joined the Barnabas Foundation team as church communications director. In this role, his top priority will be connecting with churches and ministry leaders in their efforts to steward their roles and resources for ministry.
With extensive experience in parish ministry and a passion for full-orbed Christian living and giving, Leo is particularly qualified to link Barnabas Foundation’s expertise in planned giving to the ongoing opportunities of daily church ministry. He has been a pastor for two churches in the Christian Reformed Church over his 23 years of ministry, including the last 18 years as senior pastor of Calvin Christian Reformed Church in Oak Lawn, Ill.
Leo holds a bachelor’s degree from Trinity Christian College, a Master of Divinity from Calvin Theological Seminary, and a master’s in community development and social justice from Loyola University (Chicago).
He and his wife, Barbara, reside in Oak Lawn, Ill., and have three adult children. He is an active member at Calvin CRC (Oak Lawn) and volunteers for BEDS Plus, helping to provide overnight shelter to the area homeless population.
Since 1976, Barnabas Foundation has helped thousands of generous Christians give more effectively to the churches and ministries close to their hearts through tax-wise charitable giving. To learn more, visit www.BarnabasFoundation.com, email info@BarnabasFoundation.com, or call 888.448.3040.
