Benefits and Services
Stewardship development and education is a core value of Barnabas Foundation. We serve as a catalyst for churches to develop good stewards based on God’s ownership of everything, our role as His managers and our desire to use all the gifts He has given us to honor Him.
- We provide stewardship development expertise to churches. Our work with more than 1000 church leaders has contributed to the design of customized stewardship research, identification of effective, strategic approaches, recommendation of appropriate resources and consultation with individual church leaders.
- We encourage and assist churches in implementing stewardship as a core value. A major challenge facing churches is also a very practical one—lack of real understanding about, and the practice of, good stewardship. The church must be passionate about helping Christians to become managers of all God’s gifts.
- We serve as a resource center for stewardship education materials for pastors, adults, youth and children. Our website provides an extensive collection of stewardship resources to support church leaders.
- We offer churches a foundation program. A Legacy Foundation provides a turn-key solution to churches with all the benefits of a foundation and none of the legal costs and effort of setting up and maintaining their own foundation. Once the foundation is established, a church can easily accept and manage estate gifts. Legacy Foundation churches also receive the e-newsletter, Foundation Focus, designed to promote foundation gifts. For more information, contact ldevr@barnabasfoundation.com or call Laura at 888.448.3040.
- We provide Estate Planning presentations. These presentations encourage church groups to discuss the role of Estate Planning in the life of a good steward, and provide a Christian perspective on Wills and Estate Planning.
- We sponsor stewardship seminars for church leadership, adult education and other church programs. Our stewardship events provide insights, encouragements and practical ideas for pastors and church leaders. More than 1000 participants from approximately 300 churches have attended our various seminars and conferences.
- We present a stewardship education series for seminary students to help future pastors model, preach, teach and encourage biblical, financial stewardship. Not only do participants benefit from understanding these principles, which they can then share with their churches, but they benefit personally from the practical knowledge of ways to develop financial integrity in their families.
