Lindsay Canan, J.D.

Director of Planning

Lindsay served as a private practice attorney in Michigan before joining the Barnabas Foundation team in 2022. She concentrated her practice in the areas of estate planning, gift and tax planning and asset management, bringing over 10 years of extensive experience to Barnabas Foundation. In 2019, Lindsay received the “Outstanding Member” award for the Women Lawyers Association in West Michigan. Additionally, she was named to the Michigan Super Lawyers “Rising Stars” list for her work in estate planning and probate/trust administration, and she is an adjunct professor of estate planning and elder law at Western Michigan University Cooley Law School.

Lindsay is a graduate of Hope College, where she earned her Bachelor of Arts degree. She earned her Juris Doctor degree with honors at Western Michigan Cooley Law School, where she served on both the National Moot Court Team and the Law Review Board of Editors. Lindsay attends Harvest Church in Grand Haven, Michigan, where she is actively involved with her small group. She serves on the Grace Board for Grand Haven Christian School.

Lindsay resides in Norton Shores, Michigan with her husband and two children.
