“We had some very hard economic times,” recalls Tom Little. In the midst of their struggles, Tom and Dee relied on the unifying power and peace of their faith in Jesus Christ.
“We knew God was in control, and that He was going to see us through,” says Tom. “We did make it through, and now He has blessed us beyond all belief!”
Almost every successful person I’ve ever interviewed attributes their success, at least in part, to difficult times in their lives. They recount times of financial strain, business reversal, family crisis or other setbacks that threatened to be their ruin.
I’m not sure what it is about adversity, but somehow God uses it to bring out His best in us.
Despite a year full of many challenges, Barnabas Foundation saw record-breaking numbers in the generosity of God’s people. Barnabas Foundation distributed 11,207 grants to churches, nonprofit ministries and other charitable organizations in 2020.
It’s no surprise that this was a challenging year for several of Barnabas Foundation’s member ministries. Even so, ministry leaders report experiencing new opportunities and God’s provision time and time again – often as a result of Stewards Fund supporters.
It depends on the type of cost, right? Fees for renewal programs range from hundreds to thousands of dollars; but there’s also the human cost of soul searching, prayer and repentance.
